I want to welcome all of you to my slice of paradise here at the Beach Kids Club – which was founded in beautiful Virginia Beach! What is the Beach Kids Club? I’ll get to that a bit later but first I wanted to give a little background on how things came to be in the first Beach blog post.
I can proudly say it all started with my parents both being in the military, and stationed in this beautiful area many years ago, their job was hard, as was raising me and my two siblings but despite any hardships they were proud to serve and because of them I can say I’ve happily been living here since I was 3 years old.
For my day job, I work in healthcare serving those very same military families that I grew up around and I LOVE it! My job can be both demanding and even more so fulfilling, but deep down I felt a nagging feeling that I wanted to have an outlet for my creative side and share something with the world.

Why a Lifestyle blog now?
That longing was soon something I couldn’t ignore, and I worked hard at coming up with something I felt was worthy of sharing with you all.
After much thought and inner deliberation, I was struck with one of my favorite memories from my childhood: My dad would often load me and my siblings into his cardinal red 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle and take us to the beach to get the energy out of us and just relax.
The Realization
The feeling of peace from watching the seagulls and hearing the crashing waves coupled with the exhilaration of playing in the sand and water was the “something” I had been looking for all along.
The vastness of the blogging landscape can be both exciting and overwhelming. To guide my steps, I spent time contemplating the niche that truly resonated with me.
As a resident of Virginia Beach, I found myself drawn to the beauty of local beaches, the community’s vibrant culture, and the joys of coastal living. It’s within this niche that I hope to craft Beach Kids Club blog, sharing my unique perspective and experiences.
It especially struck a chord in that I found myself in the same habit of taking my own children to the beach for the very same reasons – soon to be in that exact same VW bug! Without even realizing it they were brought into the same club I belonged to all those years ago…
Name Ideas: Creating My Blog’s Persona
Just as a name shapes our identity, so does the name of a blog. After brainstorming and considering various options, I settled on “beachkidsclub.com.” This name embodies both the coastal theme of my content, my wonderful family and the idea that my blog will reflect my thoughts, experiences, and the beautiful surroundings of Virginia Beach.
Best Blogging Platform
WordPress is widely regarded as the best blog platform due to its combination of user-friendliness, customization options, and extra features.
With its intuitive interface, even beginners like me can quickly set up and manage their blogs without technical expertise. The platform offers a vast library of themes and plugins that allow users to personalize their blogs to suit their unique style and functionality needs.

Because of the reasons mentioned above, that’s why I chose to go with WordPress because they are the best blogging platform out there!
Mom Blogger
As I mentioned above, I am married to my wonderful Husband and have 4 kids to technically I am a Mom blogger but I’d like to offer more on my site. Coloring pages (check out my new coloring pages here), tips for reducing stress, reviews on products that could help you and your family, and little updates on my own family!
Taking the plunge
So, through my memories and personal experiences I realized I wanted to bring that same joy, exhilaration, and positivity to other families through this site.
You and your kids can become a part of our club no matter where you are in the world! Membership is open to all who want to embrace the beach lifestyle, even if you’re nowhere near a coastline.
The First Steps: Overcoming Minor Challenges
Starting something different inevitably comes with its challenges. For me, it was conquering the initial self-doubt and finding the confidence to share my voice.
The technical aspects of setting up a blog, like choosing a platform and designing the layout, were also part of the learning curve. I am lucky to have my husband help me with the aspect of the blog but even for him, it was a learning curve too!
Yet, every challenge has provided an opportunity to learn and grow, reminding me that this journey is about progress, not perfection.
Blogger Life
As I take my first steps into the world of blogging, I’m filled with excitement for the future. The prospect of connecting with readers, sharing my passions, and contributing to a community that values diverse perspectives fuels my determination.
With every post, I aim to refine my writing skills, expand my horizons, and engage in meaningful conversations.
Final Splash
To that end, I plan to bring a wave of happiness to people all over the world by providing beach themed ideas for kids activities, Coloring pages, resources to help them learn about the ocean, and give my honest reviews for locations and products, all with a focus on fun and interactive experiences for children.
