9. Yorktown Beach

This beach is about 1.5 hours from the beaches near me, north of Virginia Beach, on the peninsula close to Newport News. It has the small-town charm with a beach vibe which is so unique, different, and filled with so much history.

There are several restaurants and a great area to walk around with your family too. 

Next to one of the beaches near me, there is a place called Riverwalk Landing shopping mall which has even more choices for food, local shops and a museum. 

This is yet another spot where I have personal, and fond, memories – sipping beers out of mason jar mugs at Yorktown Pub with my husband at the end of a long day relaxing is pure heaven!
