Over the years I have tried many different websites and experiences, so try these tips out and see what you think. My email and comments section is always open so let me know if there is a better way to make it better or less expensive to travel and plan a trip!
Google Flights
Using this Googles service to find the best flight has been such a huge help! Google Flights is a great travel tool that simplifies the process of finding and booking flights. By using its intuitive interface and searching flights based on the day and month you can tailor it as best you can to get the best deal.
Google Flights also provides real-time information on flight prices, airlines, and routes. It also has filters to allow search based on factors such as budget, layover duration, and airline alliances. With a focus on a user-friendly design, Google Flights gives travelers a chance to make informed decisions and secure the best possible flights for their journeys.

Reward Credit Cards for Hotels
I have briefly mentioned this in other post, but this is “travel hack” has saved us thousands of dollars in hotel costs when we travel. The key here is to pick credit cards that have a high sign on bonus and to PAY OFF the balance every week or monthly. If you are someone that CAN NOT be trusted with a credit card, this strategy is not for you!
Our strategy is to use our travel reward cards for most purchases (not the mortgage unfortunately) throughout the week and month, pay off the balance COMPLETELY, then reap the reward points!
Marriot Bonvoy Credit Card
This is a great hotel chain to have a hotel reward credit card! Most big and smaller cities have a Marriot Hotel chain that is close to attractions and sometimes even includes a pool!
What is also great is the ability to search for hotels that more maybe a little bit further away than your intended destination but still have all the amenities you love.
As you would imagine with kids, having a morning breakfast and a pool is a must!

IHG One Rewards Select Rewards Card
This is another great card I like to use because you can find a Holiday Inn ANYWHERE! And most of the time breakfast is included! I personally like to have two hotel reward cards because if I can’t find a Marriot hotel at our destination, then an IHG hotel is usually available.
With a global presence, IHG offers different types of hotels which includes luxury to budget-friendly options, including well-known brands such as InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn.
